CCH Choir joint “The concert of ten thousand voices” and took part in breaking the Guinness World Records of the largest beat boxing event

The CCH Choir joined “The Concert of Ten Thousand Voices” on 26 June 2017. The concert organized by HKFYG for the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR, was held at the Hong Kong Coliseum. In the event, students took part in a beat-boxing performance with students from other schools. The performance broke the Guinness World Record for the Largest Beat-Boxing Event. In the event, students also appreciated the performances of others singers, and listened to the ideas of other outstanding youngsters who made their dreams into reality and contributed to Hong Kong society. It was such a great experience for the students to attend this educational and inspirational event.

Senior Secondary Students Attended Drama Play Learning Language and Social Issues

27 senior secondary CCH students attended a drama play, “Hyenas”, organized by AFTEC and sponsored by The EDB Arts Education Section, on 8th July 2017. The play was about friendship, bullying, and the fight for popularity. A discussion session was arranged to let the audience discuss the play. Students needed to show their critical thinking skills and knowledge of various topics when participating in the discussion. They enjoyed this valuable learning experience very much.

Commendable results in the 2017 Hong Kong Diploma Secondary Education Examination

Our students have attained commendable results in the 2017 Hong Kong Diploma Secondary Education Examination. The overall pass rate and the percentage of the students meeting the entry requirements for sub-degree programmes exceeded the Hong Kong average. Our students obtained Level 5 or above in twelve subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, Mathematics Extended Part Module 1 (Calculus and Statistics), Liberal Studies, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Chinese History, History and Business, Accounting and Financial Studies. The following students received the best results in their examination. Lam Man Hei obtained Level 5 or above in five subjects. Cheung Hon Lam obtained Level 5 or above in four subjects. Wang Liting, Ng Tsz Yin and Fong Ming Yuen obtained Level 5 or above in three subjects. Congratulations to our students!
