Page Turner: Inter-school Reading Contest

To enhance English reading skills, Page Turner, the inter-school reading contest was held at our school on 15th May, 2018. Participating schools include Pentecostal Lam Hong Kwong School and Tak Sun Secondary School. The competitin was an exciting and fun activity in which students had to answer questions promptly. The championship went to Tak Sun Secondary School, with second place going to Pentecostal Lam Hong Kwong School, and our school won third place. Congratulations to all the students.

Secondary Five Students Participated in a Breakfast Gathering with Dr. Chan Wing Fat under the Scheme “Our First Encounter with CUHK Professors”

Seven Wise Five students had a breakfast gathering with Dr. Chan Wing Fat, at the Chemistry Department, at CUHK under the scheme “Our First Encounter with CUHK Professors” on 22nd March, 2018. They were accompanied by Ms. Y. L. Lee. Students Fung Chak Lun, Lee Ka Him, Lee Pak Ho, Luk Woon Shun, Wong Chik Yin, Wong Ho Yan, Wong Siu Man and Yan Hok Lam were inspired by their conversation with Dr. Chan about his learning experiences and his children. He encouraged our students to plan for their future as early as possible. They also discussed time-management, striking a balance between work and study, and trying one’s best. Most importantly, students must understand that different people have different talents so relieving pressure is necessary.

Secondary Five Students Participated in a Breakfast Gathering with Professor Hector Chan Sun On under the Scheme “Our First Encounter with CUHK Professors”

Seven Wise Five students had a breakfast gathering with the Associate Head and Dean of General Education of New Asia College Professor Hector Chan Sun On, of the School of Biomedical Sciences (Education), CUHK under the scheme “Our First Encounter with CUHK Professors” on 22nd March, 2018. They were accompanied by Ms. W.S. Yan. The students who participated were Chao Lap Kan, Chu Wing Man, Kam Sheung Yin, Leung Chin Wing, Poon Sze Ling, Wong Hiu Nam and Wong Wai Wa. They  were much inspired by their conversation with Professor Chan about attitudes towards handling problems in life. He also reminded students of the importance of knowing one’s interests while setting goals, and “Opportunity favours the prepared mind”.

Visit to Sister School – Foshan Tour

To promote environmental protection awareness, we visited our sister school from 2/12/2017 to 4/12/2017. We had a good day in the Foshan Wetland. We cooperated and discussed the environmental issues with the local students. Our students got a precious experience in visiting the wetland and bird watching.
